We finally got a further look into Babylon’s Fall during E3’S Square Enix show case, and it looks gorgeous. The last information we received was during the State of Play on December 10th last year, and fans have been eager to see more. Though we did not get a release date yet, we did get some insight on the development and reassurance that it is still in the works.
For those that do not know of the game, Babylon’s Fall is an action RPG in the works with Platinum Games and Square Enix. We don’t have much insight for the game, or it’s story. What we do know is that the story takes place in a world that promised a tower of dreams over a thousand years ago. This tower, known as Babylon has caused ruin and chaos throughout this world, and it looks like adventurers are fighting their way to the top in the gameplay footage we have seen.
Much still remains a mystery, especially with the game first announced at E3 in 2018. However the update and footage is reassuring considering what happened with Scalebound. The developers also advised they will provide more updates as they can, hopefully that will come with some more story information as well. From the little bit we have seen, the gameplay looks very good and the environment is aesthetically pleasing.
The rumors have been confirmed surrounding Final Fantasy Origin today during Square Enix’s E3 Showcase. The game should be released 2022 Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and PC. Team Ninja will be working with Square Enix again in developing the game, which explains the Souls-like gameplay that we’ve seen in Nioh from the team before. The last time Team Ninja worked with Square Enix was in their popular release of Dissidia NT, so we can expect great things from this title.
What we do know about the game is that its retelling the story of the first Final Fantasy. We see the Warrior of Light pairing with his team to take down Chaos and save the realm. However, along the way we see them run into a famous old friend we fans know and love, Garland. Garland is hindering the progress of these warriors by using the power of Chaos to increase his immense power. He was originally a warrior himself, but strayed from this path and teamed up with Chaos.
We are also getting a PlayStation 5 exclusive demo soon for those who can’t wait to play! In the meantime we can enjoy this beautiful yet angsty trailer to hold us over.
The partnership between Marvel and Square Enix continues to blossom. Along with the growth of Marvel’s Avengers, Eidos Montreal is hard at work on a whole new action/adventure for the publisher – and they’re calling upon the Guardians!
Yep, Guardians of the Galaxy is returning to gaming for the first time since Telltale Games tried to cover the team in a narrative adventure a few years ago. It’s a third-person action/adventure game that features the whole squad – including Star-Lord (well, Peter), Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and good ol’ Groot. For the most part, though, you’ll play as Star-Lord, using his blasters and maneuvering to take on adversaries.
The game will feature various characters from the Guardians Marvel universe, with a story put together by comic book writer Dan Abnett. It looks like it’ll be a lot of fun – and it’s actually coming this year, on October 26th, for Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles and PC. And unlike Avengers, it’ll focus on a single player perspective.
Also, did we mention the freakin’ amazing soundtrack?!
Check out the trailer and first gameplay look below and come get your love! (Mind the tentacle.)
Many of you are familiar with the success of the Final Fantasy Franchise especially its most recent success with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Due to this success Square Enix has announced they will continue with the remake series and add new games from the franchise to be remade similarly with new mechanics as given by feedback from the gaming community.
To pick the next game coming out Square Enix looked to its fans by posting a poll around the web and told every person that could to vote. The gaming community did not disappoint coming out in droves to answer this mini poll. The games up for the poll were the games listed as the most loved by sales. I mean, of course, they are a business after all. The games listed in the poll were:
Final Fantasy 1
Final Fantasy: Crisis Core
Final Fantasy 8
Final Fantasy 12
Final Fantasy 10
Final Fantasy 10-2
Final Fantasy 6
Final Fantasy 9
Now with this lineup, it was extremely easy to see who the winner would be. Of course, to keep the suspense they are keeping it a secret to allow gamers to guess which one it would be. Months have passed with no information. Some people are wondering which one it could be. Some information leaks led people to believe it might be Final Fantasy 12 and they just threw out the poll but Square Enix wouldn’t do that to our heartstrings. Ignore all the other times they did I promise they didn’t this time.
However, I have used my connections to get the real answer. You’re welcome. I take gifts in the form of snacks. Back to the content! Through a source within the company that asked not to be named has announced the winner and that they are taking great pains to finish this project promptly so that there is none of the tension on the team like when they were making Final Fantasy 7 Remake. This poll had a great turn out so they couldn’t let down the masses. A whole 1.6 million answers received to name our winner.
