New from Another Indie and Dark Star Studios, Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is due Q1 of 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox.

Though it’s a self-proclaimed Dark Souls-inspired game, Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption seems to offer up enough unique qualities to separate itself from the source material. With promises of incredibly tough boss fights, a large arsenal of weapons players can master, and the aforementioned “level-down” unique gameplay that reduces stats as a player progresses, this new title could definitely be a hit once it’s released next year. Check out the trailer below.

Engage in a dark and harrowing tale of sacrifice and redemption as you fight through Sinner’s ominous landscape. There are multiple endings to unlock as you battle the sins incarnate and experience Sinner’s unique “level-down” gameplay as you sacrifice your strength and stats to succeed.

“A man without memories struggles to understand and deal with his past. Adam must face the incarnation of his greatest sins as he unlocks his memories and sacrifices to atone. But will Adam attain redemption or will he wallow in his past? The game is set to take place in a dark & forbidding realm. The past is twisted and the lore is deep.”

Dark Star has carefully crafted a horde of bosses based on the sins of the protagonist. These will be challenging opponents but mastering them will be very satisfying.  This game is inspired by Dark Souls, so it is only safe to assume if you liked Dark Souls, you might enjoy this game.
