One of the major complaints about The Sims 4 is the hefty price tag. Many players wait for the game to go on sale before making a purchase, EA changed that as of July 11, 2017.
Origin Access is Electronic Arts subscription based service, this allows you access to over 70+ titles, including The Sims 4, Plants Vs. Zombies, and some other popular titles. For $4.99 a month of just $30 a year, you can opt to get 10% off all Origin titles and receive The Sims 4 (standard edition base game only), if you wanted the digital deluxe, you would still need to purchase this. This could be a chance for players to check out the game before spending money on a digital deluxe or expansions, game packs, stuff packs. With the price of expansions, you could get 10% off.
If you decide to cancel your Origin Access subscription, then you would lose the base game of The Sims 4 and would need to purchase it. There is currently an Xbox Version of Origin Access known as EA access, but it does not appear we will be getting one similar on the PlayStation. Sony has stated the service does not offer the kind of value PlayStation fans have come to expect, however, they are also keeping an open mind about one day possibly bringing this service to the PlayStation.
