Diablo III’s Senior Game Designer Travis Day and Lead VFX artist Julian Love will be holding a live Q&A session on their social media accounts. Fans are invited to ask questions about Diablo III’s newest character: The Necromancer.
Blizzard held a closed beta for their newest character The Necromancer back in April. During the beta test, he was taken down for a short period of time to work out bugs internally according to a post on Battle.net after receiving some feedback from those who were lucky enough. Since then, there hasn’t been much news on the status of The Necromancer. Today, Community Manager Nevalistis, invited fans (on a Battle.net post) to join them for live Q&A session with Senior Game Designer Travis Day and Lead VFX Artist Julian Love on their Facebook and Twitch accounts.
The post also announced that they would like to try to answer as many questions as possible by keeping the questions to a 50-word minimum. There were also restrictions that fans could ask excluding questions regarding beta keys, price, or release date information. They’ve requested that questions focus more on the mechanics and the development process of the class while encouraging discussion of philosophy and iteration in those regards.
Back in November of 2016, a mistake was made and The Necromancer’s artwork was posted and promptly taken down. The artwork was two characters wielding a scythe and a dagger standing atop an army of the undead. At Blizzcon 2016, The Necromancer class was confirmed with a stunning trailer, though The Necromancer received mixed reception. It is interesting to see where the release of Diablo‘s new character will take the franchise.
