A tidal wave of information has come out about Destiny 2 with the reveal yesterday. PC players may have to reel back their excitement a little bit.
So much news has come out for Destiny 2, especially since they had the big reveal yesterday. This was the first reveal of gameplay, story, everything that will be coming to Destiny 2. Even Blizzard is getting in on the action, teaming up with Bungie and releasing Destiny 2 through Battle.net. Physical copies can be purchased at retail stores. While the console version will be releasing Sepember 8th, there hasn’t been a release date given for PC players. Luke Smith, Destiny 2’s director, said to PC games yesterday at the reveal:
“We’re not committed to a PC date yet, but at Bungie we’re totally committed to making a PC build as great as we can. Our partnership with Blizzard and being on Battle.net, we want to make sure that this version of the game has the time it needs to bake in the oven so it’s a delicious piece of bread when it comes out.”
While PC players will have to wait without a time frame, Smith did note that we will be hearing something within the coming weeks. As an added bonus, players who pre-order Destiny 2 will be able to test out the Beta. “Everyone will get a chance to get their hands on Destiny 2 before the launch.” Smith said at the event. As of right now, the dates for the beta have not been announced.
