This weeks patch is focused on improving the stability of the Dauntless, specifically chat and patching issues. Next week’s patch will have more content, including fixes for Behemoth collision and improvements to the end of hunt screen.
This patch makes several improvements to communication including:
- Resolving problems with the chat system by fixing delays in messages being sent and issues that with chat that could cause login problems.
- Separating City and Island chat channels. Players on the hunt will not see city chat and vice versa. This will also put a stop to messages from other regions appearing in your local chat.
- An update to the global message system that will help keep players informed. Global messages sent by admins will be displayed above the chat window and remain on screen for three minutes.
- Images and content in the Dauntless patcher can now link out to websites and other content.
