Among Us: Small Game, Big Fun

Let’s get this started then! What can we say about this beast of a game, for starters: USER BEWARE!!

This game is not for the weak-hearted and big ego headed peeps. One moment you could be minding your own damn business just doing your tasks, not a single worry on your mind other than just to my task, get it done and move on to the next. Little did you know that around the corner could be your buddy blue, red or maybe….just maybe its the sneaky sneak known as the IMPOSTER.

The three maps that will lead to your DEMISE!

So you have chosen your first map and it so happens to be: MIRA HQ, POLUS, or the all time champ of a map THE SKELD. Be wary of those you trust and have a little more trust in those you don’t.

Here, we have the map for your enjoyment also this will be the only map I put here, cant give away the game to you all in one go now can I?

The Skeld is the classic go to map when you think of this game. The layout is simple and pleasing to the mind no big things to think about when navigating your way whilst not trying to get lost. Remember “giant circle” and almost everything should be just fine I hope…. moving on, this map is where most of your games of Among Us will be played since its the easiest and most fun to get into game after game. my recommendations about this map are as follows:

  1. Stay as close to someone as possible.
  2. Check security for cams and admin for players on the map.
  3. Always (and I mean always) try to avoid long periods in electrical. Peeps be thinking you are nothing but SUS!
  4. This is no way in fact going to increase your win rate. Enjoy the game and make it your own.

Mira HQ and POLUS the two maps you will or wont play.

This is no way saying these two maps are bad in any way whatsoever. It just so happens that they are just way more challenging for other players thus making it harder to get into games with either map chosen. With no doubt id play a lot more of these two awesome maps if more games could be available.

Mira HQ might have the shortest task list but it also has a lot of corridors with doors and vents that make it easier for you to feel the icy cold hand of death brought to you by the local IMPOSTER-MAN. Truly, if you play this map, its wicked fun and you will have a blast just be ready to wait airlocks.

Polus, the Big BOI map if you want to spend all of your time trying to find a killer and not be killed, then you have come to the right place. This map has it all for you. Airlocks that change every time you need to open the doors? Check! Lava pit for all your warming needs, holes to look at and wonder why? I mean I know why, but still, just run from them. The IMPOSSTERINO will come out if you’re not attentive to your surroundings.

Hey you! YEAH! You, the sly guy there by the vent, how you doing? I see that you just vented over there and now you’re walking away like it was nothing, right? WRONG!! You have been spotted and now an emergency meeting has been called. What do you do? Honestly, take the L, buddy. That’s it, game over, try next time. Good thinking there using the vent.

For all my “NIGHT STALKER” wannabes out there, use those vents to get away to get ahead of your next victim, or just to look inconspicuous to not get caught and plan that next step into the darkness. Imposter is the best role to get if you enjoy being a con and the best liar you can be. Make them not know that you’re the one killing everyone, and always push blame onto those who were nearby. Kill or be killed is the point, so my little monsters out there, get to slaying and have fun.

Now for the real warning !!!!PLEASE PLEASE!!!!! Be careful when playing with friends or (soon to be) ex-friends.

This last part is to all that wanna play with group of friends and have a great time. Yay, SOOO much fun, right? How did it go? Were you the IMPOSTER? Did you lie about slaying your best friend and are now plotting to take out the next one in a certain order as they have killed you in prior games? No? That’s just me? Well okay then. So yeah, this game makes you think on the darker side of things. But hey, it’s fun! Enjoy this great game and play lots and lots of games until you have your own way fooling the fools.

One more thing, they’re coming out with a new map soon and we will continue our journey to catch the imposter and toss them out! THE AIR SHIP MAP!

Success or Failure: What To Expect From The New Breaking Bad Movie

Breaking Bad

What’s in store for the latest from the Breaking Bad franchise?

Since the Breaking Bad franchise ended in 2013, there have been a number of dedicated fans re-watching the series time and time again watching their favorite episodes. But with the recent release of the Breaking Bad film El Camino, fans are ready to see the Aaron Paul reprise his role as Jesse with a brand-new storyline. In this article, we will be looking into whether this film was a success or a failure.

Breaking Bad: Beyond The Series

When the series ended, there was a large group of people left with a huge hole in their lives from a TV show that had been so impactful to so many and captivated audiences between the years of 2008 and 2013. But since the franchise ended, there have been a number of fan theories as well as new slots released every week, some of which were themed to tailor to fans of this iconic franchise.

The Story Arc Of Jesse Pinkman

El Camino is the name of the highly anticipated Breaking Bad film but despite the drama-filled finality to the series, this is not the thriller that many expected it to be. With the film following on from this, it is a chance of Jesse Pinkman to see some closure. As Aaron Paul reprises the iconic character, we are set to see the character immediately after his release from prison. The now-deceased Walter White was behind the rescue mission but died in the process of getting Pinkman released.

Since the release of the initial trailer, there has been much speculation as to who will be reprising their role within the film as a number of the main characters are now dead. The film itself is said to cut between the 48 hours following Pinkman’s release from prison, as well as the emotional turmoil that he is dealing with on a constant basis.

The Initial Reviews

For many who are fans of the franchise, this is the perfect film, it has all the cameos you could ever
want, alongside some of the most memorable characters in the franchise, but for those that are looking at the film from a cinematic perspective, they may be disappointed. The film appears to be more like three Breaking Bad episodes put together rather than a film making it seem oddly disjointed.

With this being said, it does not take away from the complex storyline and outstanding acting that is brought to the audience by everyone involved making for an enjoyable viewing experience.

The Name El Camino

Though this could be in reference to the car seen in one of the first scenes of the film, a 1975 Chevrolet El Camino, the words El Camino in Spanish for road or way. Though this is up for interpretation by audiences, this is meant to be much more than just a story of Jesse Pinkman but rather a road to freedom from his own demons. For many, the film showed a softer side to this character that many are not used to seeing.

With his own demons to overcome and a lot to learn about life itself, the audience is taken on a journey.
With the story arch of the slowly coming to an end, we see Jesse slowly evolve into an adult. Though some challenges he faces are similar to those in the hit TV show, there are many that are more moral and some that carry a large amount of emotion.

With no cinema releases of this film scheduled in the UK, the streaming giant Netflix has seen a large
amount of success with the film since its release on October 11, 2019. Many are watching to see where their beloved character has ended up since the finale of the series aired and they will not be disappointed. This Netflix film is certainly one made by the producers for the fans and is the perfect end to a franchise that is loved by so many. Why not watch it for yourself?

Nintendo Needs to Give Wii Sports a Release on Nintendo Switch, and Here’s Why

Wii Sports on the Nintendo Switch is an excellent idea that needs to be explored.

Fourteen years ago, Nintendo created one of its biggest casual gaming hits with Wii Sports, a game that pretty much sold on a one-to-one basis with the Nintendo Wii when it came out. And how could it not? It created so many sports experiences with a simplistic, yet highly effective, set-up. Whoever wasn’t playing Bowling was clearly playing Tennis, or even Golf.

The game managed to sell 82 million copies by the end of 2017, marking it as one of Nintendo’s biggest successes. But now, in the face of the Coronavirus, the game’s popularity is surging yet again, with people being stuck inside and looking for something fun to play.

Based on this report from NintendoLife, sales for used copies of the game have spiked in the past few months, with copies going for around $30 or more. Considering its age, that’s a genuine surprise – but has us asking Nintendo an interesting question.

Tennis. With online play, please.

Would a Nintendo Switch release be out of the question?

It’s a good time for sports

Although the game is called Wii Sports and not, well, Switch Sports, there’s no question that it could find a new audience on Nintendo’s platform. The JoyCons make it ideal to replicate the motion-style controls that the original Wii game had. And being able to play it on the go – like at the hospital or even in the park if you’re social distancing well enough – is a novel idea.

Not to mention the fact that a port wouldn’t really require that much effort. It’s a Wii game, and we’ve seen a number of classic Nintendo titles make their way to the Switch platform with ease. So it’d be minimal at best bringing the game to the system. The only obstacle we could see getting in the way is revitalizing the controls so they take advantage of the JoyCons. But clearly Nintendo is a master of this domain at this point, so it’s no big deal.

Nintendo could sell it for cheap and make a fortune

Let’s look at the general popularity of Wii Sports. It sold over 82 million copies over the decade that it released. And it became a huge hit in that time, probably one of Nintendo’s biggest.

Now imagine if the company re-released the game somewhere around the $10-$20 range. People would flock to it instantly, even if it was a port of the best-selling follow-up Wii Sports Resort. That’s because it gives people an alternative to play when they’re stuck inside – and without having to pay out the nose for a physical copy that’s no doubt seen better days. (Looking at you, scratched discs.)

Baseball is surprisingly good stuff.

Nintendo could even follow a structure as they did with Wii Sports Club on the Wii U, selling each sport separately (give us Bowling and Tennis and we are good), or even making it an affordable all-in-one package. It worked before, even with the Wii U’s abysmal sales. Now imagine how quickly it could multiply on the Switch.

It’s a game that’s adaptable to everyone

The universal appeal from Wii Sports comes from the fact that everyone can play. We’ve seen this be a popular favorite in nursing homes, bowling alleys, bars…hell, everywhere. Now imagine the accessibility of the Switch being added to that, and people being able to play it wherever they please. Even without the need of a monitor, since the Switch would provide all the action on its screen.

It’s a move that makes sense. Nintendo would benefit greatly from sales; people would benefit from enjoying the game all over again without needing to get a Wii or Wii U system on the side; and, hey, it would bring so many people together. The only question is if Nintendo could make enough Switch systems right now to upkeep with its popularity since they’re becoming pretty scarce as of late.

C’mon, Nintendo. If there was ever a time for a Wii Sports re-release, it’s definitely now. At least give us Bowling!

Layers Of Fear 2

DVS Gaming Video Game Review

Layers Of Fear, horror, and suspense wrapped into a dingy dark video game. If you had played the first Layers Of Fear game, that was released in 2016, then you have no clue what’s about to crawl out of the corners of the second installment in the series. Unlike most horror game series that tend to follow the same story through-out the multi-game series, Layers of Fear brings you story upon story without looking back. There are very few things similar to LoF2 to its predecessor. Both games brought to you by Bloober Gaming, which sets an example for how far they’ve come from the original planning and testing of Layers Of Fear. Thanks to GunMedia, the second installment of Layers Of Fear is polished and curated to make the experience even more indulging. As Layers Of Fear started as an ”Indie Game” in 2016, their studio has grown and made possible this amazing horror.

Darkness Wrapped in a Mystery

As is with most horror, music and atmosphere truly make the game. If one is lacking, then surprise and deceit can be seen from chapters away. Yet if it’s drenched in mystery and soaked with fear, the smallest of shadows can send one spiraling into fear. Layers Of Fear 2 truly built upon their strongest points. Between the lighting in the game, the music and the sense of never-ending mystery, this game offered more within its first chapter than most horror movies do in their entirety. Shadows played against the light in perfect tandem to the madness building in your mind, making you second guess what you thought was real. What you thought was your story, has changed again and again into a dark hallway with the stories of those who have been trapped on board…

The Candyman Comes To Play…

Welcome onboard the ship…this is where actors come to play, to cry, to die. The 1930s style suite you landed in offers no help to your confusion. You were told to come for a play, yet you’ve found no stage nor any scripts. Just the lone phonograph taunting you with a steel cylinder used to record sound. You’ll find yourself enthralled with the amount of history in the suite; the art, the photos, the music… The Voice. As you move through the game, exploring more of the ship, finding out that the play is to be conducted as realistically as possible. With no interruptions from the crew or any other passengers, you have full right of the ship. As the evening goes on, and you have finally come to find that you are alone in this play, a voice can be heard. First quietly, almost taunting you into the next chapter of the game. A familiar, immediately frightening voice peers through the crashing waves against the ship. CandyMan… Otherwise known as Tony Todd, is the voice narrator of this game which only adds to the intense darkness of ‘Layers of Fear 2’.

Welcome to The Show

This Ship Is Not For The Weak

Tony Todd’s voice lulls you into a false sense of darkness, as Tony does, slowly making you comfortable with the horror you are about to experience. Tony does well introducing the story to you, leaving you alone in silence just as the ship starts to turn. Chapter after chapter, the stories being written scratch at the back of your mind. Shadows play in the halls, dancing in and out of rooms causing you to follow them as curiosity is one of mankind’s weaknesses. Layers of Fear uses your own inability to quell the curiosity, to lure you further into the story. The ship continues to toss and buoy in the oceans drift, this being shown by small glimpses to the deck, or through portholes along the hallways. As you move through the chapters, the darkness starts to illuminate more than just some monsters waiting to pop out of the dark.

The ship, previously thought to be empty had signs of children and crew on the levels where you were told to explore. Stories unfold, sadness and evil coming together binding upon the ship, trapping all those who enter its chambers. The food you had walked by, has now become rotten with time. Spiderwebs stretch across the halls and rooms as far as the eye can see. Parts of the ceiling had collapsed, giving the actor a clear sense of madness as the rooms continued to change. To escape your own madness, you’ll have to piece together clues that surround you with every step, every word of the stories told to you.

The Calming Seas

Can you tell the difference between reality and make-believe?

Choices to be made…yet with no discernible proof for either choice, with nothing more than a perfectly poised question during your darkest moment…the choice will be yours to make. Good or bad…a choice is a choice that has to be made. Will your fear make you choose? Or will you be in control of your fear? Strength has no meaning in a destitute place like the Ship. Only the darkness can show you the way to the light. Has it been a day? A week? More? The Ship is control of what you will experience and there is but one ‘man’ whose been freed of the Ship, but at a cost. You hear more and more of this man, but every photo you come across with him has his face scratched out for none to see. The Actor and The Painter, again and again, these men haunt your vision. You learn more about them through the slides and photos you find scattered about the ship in its many rooms.

The humanity…what’s left of it…can be more frightening than the monsters in the dark.

As you scavenge for clues and anything that can help your protagonist make his way through the story, don’t forget to enjoy the scenery. Layers of Fear is drenched in horror. Keep your eyes wide when you explore, as you’ll find hidden references to Horror Movies and Monsters of the past. Some will be more apparent than others, but there are over 30 references in the stretch of Layers Of Fear 2. If you’re lucky, you might just figure out what the link between Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2 is….

Careful in the darkness, it can make you go mad…

Layers of Fear is exactly what the title says, layers of your fears. One upon the other, forced into tandem as you experience the darkness that surrounds and expels from your soul. Layers has a unique feature, that you can choose the pivotal points in the story. You, the ‘Actor’ will have to choose between your morals or your gain. Will you save yourself, reach the deck and feel sunlight against your skin again? Will you succumb to the cries of children? Your choices are important and can impact your gameplay, heavily. Will you refuse the beautiful darkness that Tony Todd speaks softly to you? Layers of Fear 2 is an amazing psychological thriller game that takes you in-depth of horror history and it’s building blocks. From the visuals to the story, to the sound, Layers of Fear 2 has encompassed that of which makes a horror game, a horror game.

10 Most Recommended Games of 2018

2018 is almost at an end and that means it’s time to look back on what happened this year. When it comes to gaming, 2018 has given us some quite big changes already. From the rise and rise of Fortnite and other Battle Royale games to the worldwide release of Let’s Go Pikachu (and Eevee), which opened up the world of Pokemon to a new generation. As we learn from 2018 and head into 2019, developers will be able to ascertain what fans might want next, what they should adopt, and what they should immediately drop. But what are the 10 most recommended video games of 2018?

Source: @fortnitegame via Twitter

  1. Fortnite

No list of the most recommended video games of 2018 can be complete without the standout star of the year, Fortnite. The year began with 45 million players and the last count for November 2018 has reached 200 million players. The game’s popularity has increased since 2017 due to the rise in Battle Royale style games, and the game is arguably the most recommended game of the year.

  1. Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee

Pokemon is hitting out at a new fan base, a new generation of Pokemon trainers. The Detective Pikachu live-action film is likely to stoke a newfound appreciation for the series, while the Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee games are aimed at audiences that haven’t previously played Pokemon – as well as providing entertainment for those familiar with the franchise.

  1. DragonBall Fighter Z

The latest addition to the DragonBall Z series is another 2D fighting game and is listed as one of the best video games of 2018. Given the pantheon of characters available to play as and play with, both casual fans of the franchise and more hardcore players will find something enjoyable about the game. An early release back in January, DragonBall Fighter Z shows that an appetite still exists for traditional fighter games, especially those crossed over with popular franchises.

  1. Red Dead Redemption 2

Often cited as the Grand Theft Auto in the Wild West, Red Dead 2 was infamous for the number of hours it took staff to complete the game for its release date. Fans applauded the finished product and deemed the 100-hour weeks to have paid off massively with one of the most sought-after games of the year. The game features similar gameplay to its predecessor, while also harnessing the latest in gaming technology and graphics.

  1. Spider-Man

The latest iteration of Spider-Man, played onscreen by Tom Holland, takes the new Spider-Man to a different level, especially as Spider-Man is more advanced than the origin story of the screen. Not only is the functionality of Spider-Man praised, including his swinging from webs and combat ability, but the story that threads through the game also receives a great deal of praise, especially from Metacritic, who are famously stringent.

  1. Celeste

The platform game involves players portraying protagonist Madeline as she navigates her way up a deadly mountain, avoiding hazards as they do so. The game is reminiscent of Super Mario and the way in which you interact with your environment, with obstacles, power-ups, and bonuses increasing as you progress through the levels. The game reportedly received ‘universal acclaim’ from critics and fans alike, with the simple plot developing a stronger character narrative.

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

The fourth edition of the Black Ops series of COD leaves nothing to the imagination with its release, yet still becomes one of the most popular games upon its release. The developers still wanted to make the game feel like a worthy sequel. Some have criticized the lack of a campaign in the game, however. The developers have claimed that the game was always intended as a multiplayer game, so was never intended to have a campaign option. In spite of this, fans are still enjoying reconnecting with the shooter.

  1. Subnautica

Developers are always striving to create something different in the hopes that it will become the next big thing in gaming. Subnautica is played solely underwater and involves the many aspects of peril and gameplay that games have been preparing for. The first-person exploratory aspect means that you are fully immersed in the character and the worlds created underwater, which amps up the excitement factor, especially as you face the sea creatures in the murky depths.

  1. Battlefield V

Battlefield V leads on from the First World War elements of the first game by sending you directly into the battlefield of the Second World War. The game focuses more on realism with a scarcity of resources aspect of the game, while also developing the party dynamics. The game is part-shooter, part-strategy game and takes away the luxury of weaponry that other shooter games depend on to give true realism of the 1940s.

  1. Spyro Reignited

Following the success of the Crash Bandicoot series of games that were remastered, PS1 favorite Spyro received the same treatment. The gameplay remains the same while the graphics have been majorly updated. Not only will fans of the original be able to reminisce with the nostalgia of playing a game they loved, but a new generation of Spyro fans will be born to enjoy the game just as much.

2018 has been a stellar year for gaming, and some of the developments are likely to be advanced on themselves by 2019 as gaming continues to break barriers and offer something new to its fanbase.
