Welcome you flesh bags covered with brightly colored fabrics. I’ve come to find out what your colony is all about! Again. Thanks to THQ Nordic for grabbing the rights to THQ‘s Destroy All Humans, we now have a beautiful 2020 remake of our 15 year old game!
THQ Nordic has kept all of the story and voicing the same, which makes for some amazing nostalgia. Running around as Crypto, the badass probing Alien from Furon. Learn from the beginning that the humans must fear us and to fear us, they must not learn from 136 the secrets of our kind and technology! So take their brain.
Thanks Pox. I’ll get right on that. Crypto as we know and love him, came to Earth to try and save his fellow Furon known as Cryptosporidium-136. Yet as we can all hear screaming through the telecommunicator, Pox wants to study the humans so he asks Crypto to go and relieve the humans of their heavy brain stems.
The visual upgrades don’t stop at just the characters and environment, but also moves into the menus and selection screens. The smoothness of moving through the menus is nothing like the original, where you were waiting minutes for your menus to pop and load. No guessing if you collected everything or finished all of the missions in one area or not, DAH! now has detailed screens to go through as you progress through the game!
As always, Crypto has his variety choices of weapons to use as well as suits. Yes, suits. And yes, we are talking about human skin suits. As you move around Rockwell, a Furon isn’t the most welcome sight as you’ll find yourself surrounded by hundreds of government black suits.
Learn about Crypto and his Furon kind, why they made their way to Earth in the first place. Why their interest in the human race is so deep, and why is everyone named either Crypto or Pox? What’s up with that?
All Crypto wants it to murder some fleshy human bags, but Pox on the other hand, has a deeper more intricate reason for sending Crypto to Earth. And let me tell you, it’s not because of how adorable Crypto looks in his little Cow suit.
All in all, Destroy All Humans! isn’t for everyone. This game offers some cute running around as an alien, destroying humans and the environment. As someone who had played this game and the others in the original series, it was nice to see some tender love and care put into the remake. This is definitely a casual game, something you could pick up and put down at anytime. The humor is definitely the best part of this game, which is a little adult rated. However, that’s what makes it fun.

Welcome to the DARQ
Begin your journey into the darkness with Lloyd, a young boy with a special talent. Lloyd has realized that he is dreaming, astral projecting himself into the deepest and darkest parts of his subconscious. To Lloyd’s misfortune, his dreams turn to nightmares… The more Lloyd tries to make sense of where he is the less everything makes sense. Try as he might Lloyd cannot wake himself from this nightmare.
Crawl through the chapters one at a time, slowly getting deeper into Lloyd’s consciousness. Things start out slow for Lloyd as he ventures forth through the tunnels of his mind. This game prominently leads with physical puzzles that you must sort out before you can move forward in the game. The dashes of horror make the puzzles more deadly and time-consuming, which could be the defining line of restarting the level.
Not only does this game contain a multitude of different puzzles, but it also reveals enemies that become a reoccurring theme within Lloyd’s mind. Turn your back for too long, and the ‘Mother’ type creature could sneak up behind you and consume you. Walk too quickly and step into the light, you’ll be shot at viciously from the dark. This game is what I would categorize as a psychological horror puzzle game. Personally, it’s one of my more favorite genres of Indie games, which are more often on PC than consoles. It truly helps DARQ stick out from the crowd, Nintendo Switch seems to be a secondary favorite outlet to Indie Developers.
This game is pretty short, maybe 4 or 5 hours of main story game play. The time has nothing on the story itself, which is both compelling and addicting. A lot of it doesn’t make sense until you’re about midway into the game, but it is very grasping. I felt almost empty after finishing this lovely little story, as it made me want more. Surprisingly there is DLC for this game, two chapters to add on to the over all game. Joy!
In this chapter of DLC, you start off in a slender tall tower standing on an elevator platform. Unlike the main game where you had a bed to start your adventure, this chapter throws you in as soon as you hit start. Venture through the tower, unscrambling locks with heads. That’s right, heads that rock and roll. Separate from yourself, to truly find yourself. Body and mind must work together to figure these tricks out, or in DARQness you will stay. Come to terms with yourself, only then can you reach the light. This chapter was quite short, but it was the first DLC to be added to DARQ. Hopefully, the next chapter adds a bit more content to the game as it’s still an under 5-hour game.
The Crypt. Wow. What a chapter. The second part of DLC for DARQ, this chapter adds so many more puzzles and questions. In The Crypt, the puzzles are harder than what we’ve seen so far from this game. It’s like this game went from easy mode to EXPERT in a fade to black screen. Separated from your head, you must find your way through the crypt. This chapter is heavily reliant on the ant-gravity skills you’ve acquired over your travels, as well as a keen eye. This chapter delves deep into what we’ve seen from some of Lloyd’s mysterious followers. Hide in the light from the Mannequins once again as you find your way through the DARQness.
This was an amazing Indie Dev Puzzle Horror Game. One of the best I’ve played on the Nintendo Switch. 7.5/10
Welcome avid photographers and Pokémon fans, we have something fun and refreshing! New Pokémon Snap! Come take an adventure across the Lental Region and explore the surprises of Pokémon big and small!
As a child from the 90s, when the N64 was the big new game console with it’s weird and wacky controller, I was full tilt hyped for New Pokémon Snap. This game was boasting some of the best graphics to come to the Pokémon franchise yet, as well as new stories. With the original Pokémon Snap, in it’s time, was not only one of the best graphic games out at that time, it was also exciting for the generation growing up beside Pokémon. We all thought the graphics were absolutely amazing as well as the Pokémon in it!
The New Pokémon Snap game did not disappoint as the game started up with the soft tease of music. The lull’s of Pokémon chatter mixing in with the environment. With the Nintendo Switch docked, receiving visuals in 1080p, the game was bright and colorful. The beautiful aspects of Pokémon are the colors and the vibrancy of those colors, so if your in docked mode or in handheld mode, the colors are fantastic.
Nostalgia comes into play with New Pokémon Snap, very heavily. As the music chimes up and the story progresses, you are reminded of the days when Pokémon Snap was new and fresh to everyone. Discovering where Pokémon ran and hid, or would play surprises on your character (Todd at the time). Reporting back to Professor Oak and showing him the discoveries in 64 bit that you had made, impressing or not. As the game proceeded and you are introduced to the Pokémon Professor Mirror, the memories of Professor Oak washing in. Experience all the excitement that Todd Snap had when he first met the new world of Pokémon.
When your done learning the ‘ropes’ of Snap, you’ll be able to go out for your ”first” Safari! Grab your camera and your wits and get ready to SNAP SNAP SNAP!
Make your way through the green hills of the fields and lakes, be quick or you’ll miss your legendary! Low lands where Pokémon come to make a home for their babies, or tuck away for a peaceful sleep. Find your common normal and grass types playing in the fields!
Experience different seasons of the year as your make your way through the enchanted forest. Find a Pokémon as enchanted as the Forest hidden within!
Catch a ride on a Lapras along the reef and catch a sneak peek of someone surfing!
Try to stay cool while the Charmanders get HOT HOT HOT!
Fight your way through Swinubs to stay warm! Or steal the presents from the DeliBird!
Be quiet and observant as you make your way through the Cave Ruins and try to pet the puppy!
Put together the mystery of the meteor attack, and try to find the last Illumina Pokémon! After you’ve tracked your way through these amazing zones and found new routes to new faces, face your own truth in what and who you are. Pokémon. They can just tell when your a good person with good intentions.
All in all, New Pokémon Snap is an amazing game, as always from the creators of Pokémon. This was a nostalgic game to play, and had some of the most beautiful legendary surprises. Besides that, New Pokémon Snap teaches us that all Pokémon are special, and not just the Legendaries and Mythical types. I had such an amazing time playing this game on and off stream, I highly recommend to anyone who loves to look at cute things! This game is full of all the cuteness!
Jessica Walter, the mean Queen of the silver screen. More famously known for her roles in Arrested Development and Archer, she was never the nice girl on screen. This is what we loved about Jessica Walter, she would turn down the average female role for someone she could truly act for. Bringing her genuine self to the screen offered a new look into female-led roles for the generation to come.
Jessica was always rough around the edges actor, leaning towards roles where she could give out tough love instead of teary-eyed performances. Her motherly role on Arrested Development allowed for her to truly shine in the acting style she loved. Jessica Walter could make you laugh with a roll of her eyes, the disdain almost a taste. Her sarcasm and wit will always be remembered on and off-screen if you had the lucky chance of meeting her.
Friends of Jessica always report how much of a true sweetheart she is, how she loved without walls. How she was sweet, caring, and a general goofball when it came to friends and family. Jessica’s daughter gave us a lovely Twitter post quote ” “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica,” Walter’s daughter, Brooke Bowman. “A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on-screen and off. While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class, and overall joie de vivre.” ”
The truth is in the writing, as many people flood Jessica’s Twitter with remembrances of love and laughter. Some tough love is what some people need, and who better to hand it out than Jessica Walter. From her early roles in her debut film Lilith to her starring role in Ironside’s Spinoff Amy Prentiss. Jessica’s acting could not be faltered, taking her attitude and love of unusual characters to the screen, showing us that not all women want to be saved.
Walter earned an Emmy nomination for supporting actress and two Screen Actors Guild nominations for her standout work as Bluth on Arrested Development. She had previously won an Emmy for her title character role in the 1974 police drama Amy Prentiss.
Jessica Walter was also up for an award for her role in Play Misty For Me. This psychological thriller produced and written by Clint Eastwood. Jessica takes her acting to a new level at this point, as she portrays a young woman enthralled with Clint Eastwood’s character. Jessica’s character Evelyn stalks and vandalizes Clint Eastwood character’s life and home. When Clint’s character rejects her, she attempts suicide and is sent to a psychiatric home to help her come to terms with her mental well-being. A wonderful psychological thriller that should have won both Clint and Jessica awards. They were up for nominations, however.
With so many ways of remembering Jessica, we will always have her smart, sarcastic attitude live on through the films.
Here’s a couple of quotes from Mallory in Archer that just scream Jessica.
“Don’t just sit there sweating like a gigantic cheese, do something!”
“Do you want ants? Because THAT’S how you get ants”
Don’t let Jessica down, don’t sit there sweating. Do something!
We will always remember Jessica Walter for her contribution to the Film Industry.

Valheim is a newly released survival RPG for PC available on Steam for $20. More recently moved from closed beta to early release, I was quite surprised to find that the game was more finished than anticipated. As is with most of these early-release RPG games, there’s always something to go wrong. So, let’s start with what was done right.
Valheim starts with a quick written story, which is appreciated. As someone who hates sitting through 15-30-minute-long intros (I’m looking at you Elusive Age), it was fantastic to get a quick cover story. The game visually is like any other PC RPG style early-release. The graphics are blocky and a little hard on the eyes, less detail more overall experience. The game itself runs beautifully on most PCs as the requirements are amazingly low.
This aids in the overall experience of the game, allowing for a fast render as you sprint through the woods chasing after your first hunt. Valheim is pretty much Vikings in a PC game. The story isn’t about the life of the Viking, but the death and worthiness to enter Valhalla. Create longships in honor of Odin, delve into the dark arts of the gods the choices are seemingly endless. As I just started my adventure in Valheim, I cannot spoil the story too much for everyone, but there are Gods you can summon to fight and prove your worth.
There are loads of trees, plants, and distinct biomes within the world itself. As you travel through looking for the best place for your first home be careful of your surroundings. Enemies become more aggressive and dangerous the darker it gets, making a lovely walk in the woods a dangerous escapade. There are a few different kinds of enemies that you’ll face off right away in Valheim, but none that should over level you right off the bat. As long as you follow the hints and guidelines set by the game, you’ll be able to make a home before freezing or beaten to death. There are quite a few things you can do right off the bat as well, like mine for ore and harvest enemy parts like bones.
FIRE. MAKE FIRE.
As most of you know playing these RPGPC games, fire is important in keeping animals away at night and cooking food. But what you may not know, is that there are special events that happen depending on how close you are to a boss ritual stone. Fire is more important than you know, as it could save your buildings and chests.
Now let’s get down the nitty-gritty with this game. There aren’t very many serious issues with this game, as long as you can finesse a few things here and there. The most common issue that is floating around the Valheim Discord, is the listing and finding of dedicated servers. When creating a dedicated server for Valheim, it is recommended to go into the Discord and ask the right questions. There are a few ways of creating a dedicated server, and if you are familiar with Steam, you know how difficult it can be for these to pop up in the server list search engine. It is recommended to use Valheim‘s Dedicated Server software and not the Steam CMD as it’ll make the process more streamlined.
I highly recommend doing it this way, as I’ve been able to create multiple servers without using a ton of my PC’s resources. Then comes the next issue, how do we find you in the server listing. Some people have an easy enough time, searching the outbound IP for the specific server and hitting refresh until it populates. Others have an easier time going through the friend invites on the Steam UI. There are a few different ways to find your server, and hopefully, you do. As that is the most frustrating part of this game. As fun as it is, as beautiful it can be. If you can’t play with friends, your overall experience will go down. So, don’t get too frustrated when you can’t find a friend’s server. Take a deep breath and jump into the Valheim Discord, there are so many people there willing to help.
Honestly, this game works as intended. It has hiccups as all early-release games do and its main hiccup is the server search/multiplayer aspect of it. Personally, I haven’t had many issues with multiplayer, even on multiple LAN connections. This game has been beautiful, time-consuming, and a lot of fun with my friends. For $20 you can’t go wrong.
NVIDIA’s GeForce Now is putting the future of cloud gaming in question.
Earlier this month, NVIDIA’s GeForce Now exited beta, but major game publishers weren’t getting on board. Activision Blizzard pulled its games from the service after a licensing dispute last week, and now Bethesda is also removing its games from GeForce Now.
What’s in store for the latest from the Breaking Bad franchise?
Since the Breaking Bad franchise ended in 2013, there have been a number of dedicated fans re-watching the series time and time again watching their favorite episodes. But with the recent release of the Breaking Bad film El Camino, fans are ready to see the Aaron Paul reprise his role as Jesse with a brand-new storyline. In this article, we will be looking into whether this film was a success or a failure.
Breaking Bad: Beyond The Series
When the series ended, there was a large group of people left with a huge hole in their lives from a TV show that had been so impactful to so many and captivated audiences between the years of 2008 and 2013. But since the franchise ended, there have been a number of fan theories as well as new slots released every week, some of which were themed to tailor to fans of this iconic franchise.
The Story Arc Of Jesse Pinkman
El Camino is the name of the highly anticipated Breaking Bad film but despite the drama-filled finality to the series, this is not the thriller that many expected it to be. With the film following on from this, it is a chance of Jesse Pinkman to see some closure. As Aaron Paul reprises the iconic character, we are set to see the character immediately after his release from prison. The now-deceased Walter White was behind the rescue mission but died in the process of getting Pinkman released.
Since the release of the initial trailer, there has been much speculation as to who will be reprising their role within the film as a number of the main characters are now dead. The film itself is said to cut between the 48 hours following Pinkman’s release from prison, as well as the emotional turmoil that he is dealing with on a constant basis.
The Initial Reviews
For many who are fans of the franchise, this is the perfect film, it has all the cameos you could ever want, alongside some of the most memorable characters in the franchise, but for those that are looking at the film from a cinematic perspective, they may be disappointed. The film appears to be more like three Breaking Bad episodes put together rather than a film making it seem oddly disjointed.
With this being said, it does not take away from the complex storyline and outstanding acting that is brought to the audience by everyone involved making for an enjoyable viewing experience.
The Name El Camino
Though this could be in reference to the car seen in one of the first scenes of the film, a 1975 Chevrolet El Camino, the words El Camino in Spanish for road or way. Though this is up for interpretation by audiences, this is meant to be much more than just a story of Jesse Pinkman but rather a road to freedom from his own demons. For many, the film showed a softer side to this character that many are not used to seeing.
With his own demons to overcome and a lot to learn about life itself, the audience is taken on a journey. With the story arch of the slowly coming to an end, we see Jesse slowly evolve into an adult. Though some challenges he faces are similar to those in the hit TV show, there are many that are more moral and some that carry a large amount of emotion.
With no cinema releases of this film scheduled in the UK, the streaming giant Netflix has seen a large amount of success with the film since its release on October 11, 2019. Many are watching to see where their beloved character has ended up since the finale of the series aired and they will not be disappointed. This Netflix film is certainly one made by the producers for the fans and is the perfect end to a franchise that is loved by so many. Why not watch it for yourself?
Considering that the indie market is rife with games right now, you might have missed out on a 2017 gem called Hammerwatch. This retro-styled adventure game hit all the right notes with its initial release, and found a pretty strong following within the indie community. Well, if that one didn’t get your attention, then its follow-up, Heroes of Hammerwatch, certainly should.
Like the original game, Heroes attains the same pixelated art style that makes it work so well with retro gamers and newcomers alike. However, at the same time, it also has you taking on waves of enemies in the hopes of scoring loot, while working alongside three friends in online co-op. It expands its universe really well, and is worth playing as you begin to settle into the dog days of fall.
It’s All About the Looting
Heroes of Hammerwatch begins on the most basic of principles, with general weapons to use and a little bit of progression as you carry along. However, as you get your hands on more loot (relax, there’s more than enough to go around), you’ll be able to unlock new gear and progress even further. However, as you get stronger, so do your enemies. And you’ll need to work closely with your allies in order to survive the next wave.
The game can be played solo, in case you don’t really have friends to depend on. However, it’s a bit of a struggle doing so, as this was built with co-op in mind. It does do great for practice, though, so it doesn’t help to get a headstart there.
Once you do, though, inviting friends into the fray and taking on adversaries is a ton of fun. It’s great to work together and clean house while looting up and becoming more and more powerful. What’s more, you can make your way through the game to get New Game +, where a true challenge awaits. And there’s DLC on the way, which should add further to the adventure. (No word on whether it’s free or paid content yet, but it’s likely worth it either way for fans of the series.)
The game plays really well, with a battle system that’s easy to adapt to and gameplay options galore, with more than one way to progress. That really opens up the personable customization, making your character feel more like your own. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
The Visuals Pop To Life
Along with a solid gameplay system, huge progression options and replay value, Heroes of Hammerwatch expands upon the presentation of the original. The pixel-based graphics are wonderful, popping to life while never really stretching beyond their means with slowdown or anything like that. The developers at Crackshell really did a fundamental job capturing the old-school nature of the game, while at the same time giving a fresh approach that works really well here.
The sound is equally nice, with great sound effects and music that play along with each battle you get into. Pop on a pair of headphones and soak in that soundtrack!
The real question some players might have is, “Can I enjoy Heroes of Hammerwatch even if I didn’t play the original?” The answer is yes. It’s a highly adaptive game that works for fans and newcomers alike, although, again, it’s best if you have a battle group in tow alongside you. Single player is good for practice, though.
A Battle Worth Enduring
With a solid presentation, fun progressive gameplay and lots of replay value with options and New Game +, Heroes of Hammerwatch is worth sinking your teeth into. All that’s left to wonder is what the developers will do with the franchise next.
Heroes of Hammerwatch proves to be a worthy successor to the 2017 indie fave.
