Explore a world that combines prehistoric settings with futuristic technology in ARK: Survival Evolved. Players will need to craft and build if they want to survive amongst large beasts and harsh weather conditions.
Studio Wildcard’s open world survival game ARK: Survival Evolved will be leaving Early Access and fully release on August 8th for PC, MAC/Linux, Xbox One, and Ps4. ARK: Survival Evolved takes on the survival genre with a blend of multiplayer cooperation and competition. Players will find themselves stranded and starving on the beach of a mysterious island among a herd of other confused humans. Players will have to hunt, harvest, craft, build shelters, and research technology to protect themselves against scorching days, freezing nights, changing weather systems, dangerous wildlife, and potential enemies. Players will be able to tame, train, ride and breed one of 100 dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts.
Recently, Studio Wildcard released their expansion Ragnarok on June 12th for the PC, which allows players to explore a larger map as well as several new creatures, like the Ice Wyvern, Polar Bear, and Griffin. Ragnarok also introduced 2 new dungeon bosses: the Ice Worm and the Lava Golem. Creatures that players tame and items that have been bought in the new areas will be able to be brought to the vanilla servers. There is also an active volcano on the new portions of the map that will cause damage to you or your base. Species from the Scorched Earth DLC will also have a higher spawn rate for Megalania and the Ovis. Currently, the map is at 40-50% complete but will increase as more patches will be released in time.
