After a decade hiatus, the iconic duo Beavis and Butthead will return to Paramount+ on June 23, 2022! This time the duo is working at a space camp as part of juvenile sentencing (“Breaking the law, breaking the law, breaking the law!”). Finally, they are tasked with something serious and are asked to join a space mission. Of course, in true Beavis and Butt-Head fashion, they ruin the mission and are left for dead. Have no fear though, they eventually travel from 1998 to present time through a black hole to meet alternative versions of themselves. Good thing they aren’t travelling to the great TP shortage as Cornholio is still looking for his TP.
Once again, we are thrown into classic Beavis and Butt-Heat innuendos and adult jokes. “I see your spacesuit, like, saved you from the apocalypse–so do you wanna, like, repopulate the earth?” Mike Judge who voices the characters, produces and directs the movie stated that this new film “could easily sit atop all future lists of the Dumbest Science Fiction Movies Ever Made.” As always, remember: Beavis and Butt-Head are not role models. They’re not even human. They’re cartoons. Some of the things they do would cause a person to get hurt, expelled, arrested, possibly deported. To put it another way: don’t try this at home.
Gary Cole, Chris Diamantopoulos, Nat Faxon, Brian Huskey, Chi McBride, Tig Notaro, Stephen Root, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr and Jimmy O. Yang play supporting cast members. A sneak peak of the series will debut at the MTV Movie and TV awards on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Paramount+ also will be releasing Beavis and Butt-Head content over the rest of 2022. This will allow for a new revival series which is expected to be released by the end of 2022 – WITH MUSIC VIDEOS!
Beavis and Butt-Head are “dumb, crude, ugly, thoughtless, sexist, self-destructive fools. But for some reason the (boys) make us laugh.” Stay tuned for Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe coming soon to Paramount+!
