Ubisoft’s E3 press conference takes place in just a matter of hours today. However it looks like one of the company’s biggest secrets is already out of the bag.
An update on a Nintendo page (which has since been taken down) has revealed a sequel to Mario and Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, with the two companies teaming up once again for a role-playing adventure. In Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Mario, Luigi and Peach will once again team up with their Rabbid counterparts for a whole new journey.
“Team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends on a galactic journey to defeat a malevolent entity and save your Spark companions,” the game’s description reads. “Explore planets throughout the galaxy as you uncover mysterious secrets and compelling quests!”
A cast of nine characters will be available at the start, but the roster could easily expand with DLC, just as the first game did. They’ll be able to use unique powers and skills to defeat enemies, while continuing on their way.
Maybe it’s just us, but Sparks of Hope looks way more detailed than the first game, with bigger environments to explore and an emphasis on third-party exploration this time around.
The first trailer for Sparks of Hope has arrived, and you can see it below! The game is slated for release sometime in 2022.
